Well all desktop computers need some way to display information to you.  And as with most computer technology, computer monitors have been advancing at an extremely rapid pace.  You have so many choices, when it comes to computer monitors and even more choices are coming in the future.  There are several manufacturers of monitors, and all of them have different features (and some of the same features) that may appeal to you when purchasing a computer monitor.

Purchasing a computer monitor depends on many different features.  Features, such as what type of display the monitor has (i.e. CRT, LCD, Plasma, etc.), how big you would like for the display to be (i.e. 15-inch, 20-inch, etc.), and many other factors.  And of course, the features that you want, are in a factor in the price that you pay.

One thing to consider about computer monitors is the additional cost to get these monitors.  CRT monitors are the monitors that have the older technology.  They are still good monitors, but are some of the heavier and more cumbersome monitors.  For that reason, you will need to watch the cost of having them shipped out to you, if you purchase them online.  Where as, LCD monitors are the lighter, easier to ship monitor.
