Unable to install connection client due to Rogue AV Total Security & Security Tool
Work-around:
Any program that is being allowed to run still on the computer is excluded from the infections block list (i.e.- explorer.exe, iexplorer.exe).
Method 1:
Find MSCONFIG.EXE on the drive
For Vista/Win7 it is in \Windows\System32\msconfig.exe
For XP it is in either \Windows\System32\dllcache\msconfig.exe or \Windows\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\msconfig.exe
Copy msconfig.exe to another location on the drive c:\ for example.
Rename msconfig.exe to explorer.exe or whatever program is excluded and allowed to run.
Open the newly renamed msconfig.
Disable all Start up items
Reboot the computer.
Infection should now be temporarily disabled and allow normal files to run.
Method 2:
Find MSCONFIG.EXE on the drive

For XP it is in either \Windows\System32\dllcache\msconfig.exe or \Windows\pchealth\helpctr\binaries\msconfig.exe
Copy it into the users start up menu
- example: C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Reboot the computer
Disable infection start ups
Reboot PC.
