A lot of the rogue programs look pretty much the same. That's due to the fact that a lot of the them are from the same "family" of infections.

The programmers that create the infections will take the same "skin" and just repackage the malware to make is seem like a new program. Keeping the infections evolving, helps them beat, or confuse users and protection software. So if you go through the forum and see programs that look the same.

Regardless of which rogue application you have, you need to get rid of it immediately. These programs open your computer up for even more infections.

CAUTION: The biggest problem that you are having, is not the infections that are allowing you to see them, it's the ones lurking in the background that you can't see.

Malware infections are on the rise. Removing malware can be difficult at times. But one of the best products out there for FREE, EASY malware removal and can be upgraded to actively protect your computer from malware infections is MalwareBytes. With this program, you will be able to remove the current threats that you do have on your computer!

Don't think you can do it on your own? Please, come back and get either hints through our forum or get your computer repaired by an expert, remotely.

I have what I believe to be a look alike, it is a yellow shield on my bottom tool bar, now it keeps popping up saying its going to update my computer, restart now or later, it will not let me uninstall it.Have you ever seen this? The last time it happened, cost me 150 bucks at office depot, tried installing windows anti-malicious update and it stalled at the very end.

Dane, that sounds like Windows Updates. Does it show any type of name or anything? How did you attempt to uninstall it?
